Mrs. Leah Davison Morris, 89, passed away suddenly on January 27 at Park Place Retirement Center in Hendersonville, TN. Born in St. Louis, MO she spent her young adult life in Nashville, TN where she married Seldon Morris in 1948 and had two children, Steven and Carolyn. In the late 1950's the Morris family moved to Martin. She worked briefly as church secretary at Central Baptist Church. She then worked as secretary of the Cooperative Education Placement Office at UT Martin where she remained until retirement. As a retiree, she had a passion for quilting, sewing, antiques and her computer. She taught quilting classes and won many local and state awards for her quilts.

After her husband's death in 2010 she moved to Park Place Retirement Center in Hendersonville where she loved the staff, made many friends, and enjoyed the activities.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Seldon, her parents , two sisters and a brother. She leaves behind a son, Steven Morris (Lynn), a daughter, Carolyn King (Joseph) and one granddaughter, Rachel Fritts (Eric), nieces, nephews, cousins. and many friends .The service was held at 2:00 PM at Bowlin Funeal Home Chapell on Saturday, January 31, 2015. Burial was at Sunset Cemetery in Dresden. Flowers and cards are welcome or donations can be made in her name to First Baptist Church, Hendersonville, TN
