L.G. McClure, aged 94, of Dresden, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at his home. Family and friends are invited to honor his life during the visitation at Bowlin Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on Thursday, August 27, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery.

Born to William and Mirty Gilbert McClure in Palmersville, TN, L.G. had a profound love for farming and tractors. He cherished collecting antiques and had a passion for watching race cars. As a skilled mechanic, he owned and operated his own shop, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and craftsmanship.

L.G.'s loving family includes his sons Kenneth McClure, Mark (Beth) McClure, and David McClure, as well as his brother Dewey (Doris) McClure. He is fondly remembered by his grandchildren Leah Dawn, Chris McClure, Adam McClure, Landy Workman, Tiffany Higdon, Brian McClure, Jacey McClure, Chelsey McClure, and twelve great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Lucy Jane McClure, brother Frank McClure, and sisters Betty Cianfarani and Myra Morgan.

L.G. will be dearly missed as his memory continues to inspire and touch the lives of those who knew him.
