Marcella Mae Townsen

Marcella Mae Townsen, 90 of Dresden, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021, at her home. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 15, 2021, at 12:00 pm at Bowlin Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Hope Cemetery near Latham. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 am until service time at noon. Marcella was born March 31, 1930 in Dingess, WV to the late Hiram and Nancy Damron Marcum. She was a retired school teacher having taught in Tennessee, West Virginia, and Ohio. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Camden, TN. She is survived by her children Fayette (Brenda) Mullins of Martin, Tammy (Chuck) Brundige of Dresden, Steve (Jennifer) Mullins of Yuma, Beverly Mullins of Camden, and Kathy (Bobby) McDermott of Wisconsin, siblings Silas Marcun and Hiram (Janet) Marcum Jr., 19  grandchilren Melissa (Chad) Brundige, David Mullins, Holly (Juan) Rodriguez, Chris (Crissy) Crowder, Amanda (Ben) York, Ruby Blakenship, Caleb, Lexus, Daniel, Shawna, Jordan (Jamie) Decker, Cory (Tiffini) Holland, Kyle (Kristen) Brundige, Cody (Shonna) Brundige, Steven Shelby Mullins, Peyton and Ty Mullins, Debbie (Amedeo) Bates , Crystal Schoolmaster . 28 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Ralph Mullins, sisters Geneva Baisden and Mary E. Marcum, 6 brothers Rufus, Franklin, Paul, Douglas, Danny Ray, Carlos, and Larry, husbands Fayette Mullins Sr. and William Richard Townsen.
