Margaret Bernice Willis, born Margaret Bernice Taylor on September 3, 1940, in Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at her home on April 16, 2026.

Margaret was a devoted homemaker who found joy in caring for her family and creating a warm, loving home. Her favorite color was red, and she had a special love for flowers and gospel music, which brought her comfort and happiness throughout her life.

She was the beloved mother of sons Rick Willis and Raymond Willis, and daughter Riva “Courie” Nash. Margaret was also a loving grandmother to eight grandchildren and a great-grandmother to nineteen great-grandchildren. She deeply cherished and loved her children and grandchildren, which she regarded as her proudest accomplishments.

Margaret is survived by her brother Tommy Taylor and sisters Barbara Taylor and Martha Taylor. Together, they share the memories of their childhood and the bond of family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Thomas Taylor and Courtney Olive Lewis; her husband, Daniel Lee Willis; her daughter Rebba Pitman; and her sister Helen Taylor.

Margaret’s wishes were to be cremated, and a memorial service to honor her life will be announced at a later date. Her family and friends will forever remember her gentle spirit, her love of gospel music, and the warmth she shared through her passion for flowers.

Though she is no longer with us, the love Margaret showed through her dedication to her family and the simple joys she embraced will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
