Martha Lou King

Martha Lou King, 84 of Martin, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021, at her home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at 12 pm, at the Dresden Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening at Bowlin Funeral Home from 4 pm until 7 pm, and Tuesday at the church from 10 am until service time at 12 noon. Mrs. King was born January 31, 1937, in Tuscumbia, AL, to the late Ruben and Velvet Lena Howard Callahan. She is survived by her husband Billy King Sr., sons Carl Nelson, Barry Albert, and Billy King Jr., daughters Vickki Lynn Battles, Lisa Faye James, and Tammie Lou Worrell, brothers Raford and Dallas Callahan, 22 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Michael Ellis King and 2 daughters Nadine King and Velverly Poore.
