Marvin Hammock

Marvin Hammock, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and community member, passed away on October 30, 2025, at the Weakley County Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 29, 1939, and his presence in the lives of those who knew him will be cherished and remembered fondly.

Marvin is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Hammock; son, Larry Hammock; and daughters, Barbara (Danny) Dawson, Brenda Hammock, and Dot (Dennis) Dawson. He leaves behind two brothers, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry his memory in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Hammock and Inez Lewis, along with two brothers and three sisters, marking a significant loss in the family.

An esteemed member of Unity Baptist Church, Marvin's faith played an integral role in his life, shaping his character and the values he instilled in his family.

Visitation will be held on November 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on November 4, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Bowlin Funeral Home, located at 279 W Main St, Dresden, TN 38225. The funeral service will take place on November 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM, officiated by Bro. Justin Weston, followed by burial at Unity Church Cemetery in Dresden. The pallbearers honored to carry Marvin on his final journey include Van Watson, TJ Fenty, Chris Dawson, Trae Fenty, and JB Capps.

Marvin Hammock's spirit will continue to live on in the laughter, love, and memories he created with his family and friends throughout his remarkable life.
