Mary Catherine Ligon

Mary Catherine Ligon age 85 of Dresden, passed away on Thursday 10/15/2020 at The Waters of Union City.  Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, 10/17/2020 at 1:00 pm in Sunset Cemetery.  Friends may gather in the cemetery prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm.  There will not be any visitation at Bowlin Funeral Home on the day of the service.

Mary Catherine Ligon was born in Weakley County, TN. on April 20, 1935 to the late Roy Rushing and Nell Austin Rushing.  She worked at Kellwood and then as a housewife and farmer.  She was a member of Pisgah Methodist Church near Latham.  She is survived by her sons, Robert Ligon, David Ligon, Edward Ligon, her brothers, Ray Rushing, Bill Rushing, her sisters, Joyce Campbell, Ludine Workman, eight grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, D.L. Ligon and one grandson.
