Mavis Nell Owen

Mrs. Mavis Nell Owen, age 89, of Dresden, TN, died Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Weakley County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Dresden. Funeral services for Mrs. Owen were conducted Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden. Mrs. Owen was born October 9, 1922 in Dresden to the late John Edd and Annie Mae Parham Eaves. She was a member of Dresden First Baptist Church. She was a retired sales clerk at Bob's Pharmacy in Dresden, TN. Mrs. Owen is survived by one son, Ronnie (Martha) Blakemore of Greensboro, NC, 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Edd and Annie Mae Parham Eaves, and two husbands, Sammie J. Watson and Thomas J. Owen.
