Mavis Kathryn Parsley

Mavis Kathryn Smith Parsley, age 89, of Dresden, TN died Sunday July 26, 2015 at the residence of her daughter in Martin, TN. Funeral services were Tuesday July 28, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Sunset Cemetery. Bro. Dennis Scott and Bro. David Hazelwood officiated the services.

Mrs. Parsley was a housewife and a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. She was born October 1, 1925 in Weakley County, TN to the late Verley and Lula Melton Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Parsley; a son, Robert Dean Parsley; a sister, Helen Brown; a brother, Billy Joe Smith; and one great grandchild.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Dean) Buchanan of Martin, grandchildren: Chad (Kristi) Parsley, Tina (Will) Bing and Lisa (Dave) Chambliss all of Dresden and four great grandchildren.
