Maybell Workman

Maybell Workman, age 91, died Saturday, February 22nd, 2020 at Weakley County Nursing and Rehabilitation.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 25th from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Bowlin Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 26th at 10:00 am with burial to follow in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.

Maybell was born August 12, 1928 in Weakley County to the late Auzie and Margaret (Winstead) Leggins.  She married Mason H. Workman, who preceded her in death on March 5th, 2005, and together they had three children.  She was previously employed at World Color, but devoted most of her life to raising her family. Maybell loved quilting and is fondly remembered for her homemade biscuits and gravy.

Along with her parents and husband, Maybell is preceded in death by her son, Harold E. Workman; daughter, Barbara Ann Workman; three sisters and one brother.  Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Linda & Norman Balcerak of Orland Park, IL; four grandchildren: Kelly Marsh of Monee, IL, Scott Balcerak of Orland Park, IL, Tina Johnson of Sharon, TN, Mike Workman of Dyersburg, TN; six great grandchildren: Ryan Marsh of Monee, IL, Tyler Balcerak, Marissa Balcerak, Colton Balcerak all of Barrington, IL, Christopher Workman of McKenzie, TN and Lexi Workman of Dyersburg, TN.
