Michael J. Lamoreaux

Michael J. "Big Mike" Lamoreaux, age 67, of Dresden, died May 16th, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Mike was born March 13th, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah to the late Leslie O. and Mavis Nell (Reed) Lamoreaux.  He attended Dresden High School and was an excellent bull dozier and heavy equipment operator.  He was a proud member of International Union of Operating Engineers.  Mike was a free-spirit and avid history buff, with focus on World War II.  He was known to enjoy a good debate, eating out with friends, and loyalty and love for his friends and family.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by two aunts: Myrta Carpenter and Maraynor White; and an uncle, Billy Glaine.  Survivors include two aunts: Sue (Jack) Smith of Lansing, MI and Sandra Brock of Martin, TN; and cousins: Sheila Watson, Beverly McCollum, Kathi Kilgore, Robert White, Andrew White, Elaine Randal , Ellen Smith, Dennis Smith, Tom Brock, Denise Hayes and Becky Stout.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 at Bowlin Funeral Home beginning at 5:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Mr. Lamoreaux.
