Minnie Lou (Ford) Hamilton

Minnie Lou Hamilton, age 85, passed away July 18 ^th , 2022 due to complications of leukemia.  She was a two time survivor of breast cancer.  She was born February 6 ^th , 1937 in Itawamba County Mississippi to Omer and Velma Ford.  She married the love of her life, Ruben K. Hamilton, on  July 16 ^th , 1954 in Corinth, Mississippi. Minnie was a former employee of Martin Manufacturing and Kellwood in Dresden, TN.  Minnie retired many years ago due to health issues. She was a long-time member of Bible Union Baptist Church in Martin, Tennessee.

Minnie is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Ruben Kay Hamilton, Sr., her brother John Ford and wife, Nancy of Smithville, MS; one son Ruben Hamilton, Jr. & wife Carol of Conyers, GA; two daughters, Connie McCabe and husband Rick of Jackson, TN, & Kathy Austin and husband Dean of Martin, TN.   She and Ruben were blessed with 18 grand children, 36 great grandchildren, & 18 great-great grandchildren, & many nieces and nephews.

Minnie was preceeded in death by her parents Velma & Omer Ford; four brothers; Gordon Ford, Charles Ford, William Ford, & Leland Ford; and 2 sisters; Mildred Crane & Annette Pope.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, 7/23/2022 in Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel at 12 noon with burial to follow in Bible Union Baptist Church Cemetery, visitation will be Friday evening 7/22/2022 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Saturday from 10:00 am until service time at 12:00 pm.
