Myrta Bell Carpenter

Myrta Bell Carpenter age 95 of Dresden passed away on Monday 9/30/2019 at Weakley County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 10/2/19 at 11:00 am in Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at Bowlin Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Wednesday from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am.

Myrta Bell (Reed) Carpenter was born November 1, 1923 to the late Ellis Reed and Valda (Roberts) Reed in Dresden.  She was a nurse and a member of Blooming Grove Primitive Baptist Church, she is survived by her husband; Zollie Carpenter, her daughters; Sheila Watson of Dresden, Beverly McCollum of Martin, her sisters; Sandra Brock of Martin, Sue Smith of Lansing, MI., 3 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband; J.T. Laws, her sisters; Mavis Lamoreaux and Maraynor White.
