Nellie Ruth Self

Nellie Ruth Self, age 83, of Jasper, AL, died Friday at her son's residence in Dresden, TN. Funeral services were conducted in Jasper, AL on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Burial followed in Kings Chapel Cemetery in Jasper.
Mrs. Self was born in Walker County, AL to the late Herbert and Clara McClain Bates. She was preceded in death by her husband William Lacey Self and two daughters, Jean Pate and Bobbie Thomas.
She is survived by a son Don (Maggie) Self of Dresden; a daughter, Loretta (Bud) Stedman of Killeen, TX; seven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a brother, Louis Ray (Tommie Lou) Bates of Carbon Hill, AL; and two sisters, Margie (Rick) Reese of Orlando, FL and Eulene Ramey of Birmingham, AL
