R L Cooper

Mr. R L Cooper, 88, of Dresden, TN died Monday, October 5, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden. Officiants were Bro. Tony Terrell, Bro. Bob Conley and Bro. Rick Walker.

Mr. Cooper was born in Dresden, TN on July 31, 1927 to the late Elbert and Nola Elizabeth "Ann" Davis Cooper. He was a Shipping Supervisor at W. F. Hall Printing Company, a WWII U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran, and was the oldest member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He married Luan Rogers on December 17, 1949. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Marie Cooper and two brothers, Richard Cooper and Doyle Cooper.

Mr. Cooper is survived by two daughters, Gloria Hathcock of Dresden, TN and Kathy Lofton of Martin, TN; a sister, Pat (Billy) Scarbrough of Pillowville, TN; four grandchildren, Angie (Stephen) Holland Lewis of Franklin, TN, Heather (Erik) Holland Singer of High Point, NC, Wendy (Davy) Lofton Sneed of McMinnville, TN, and Matthew Lofton of Palmersville, TN; and five great grandchildren, Sara Kate Lewis, Hunter Lewis, Sophia Singer, Cooper Singer, and Wes Lofton.
