Raymond McDonald was born on January 12, 1936 to the late Joe and Kate McDonald. He departed this life on February 28, 2019 after a lengthy illness at the Brinton Wood Nursing Home in Baltimore, Maryland. Raymond received his education in Dresden and Martin, Tennessee. He moved from Tennessee to Baltimore, Maryland where he attended Baltimore Community College to further his education. He later moved to New York where he worked at the post office. When he moved back to Baltimore, he worked at the Rubber Company for many years. He later worked driving school buses until he retired. Raymond accepted Christ at an early. He loved visiting different churches. In 1984, he joined First Apostolic Faith Church of Baltimore, under the leadership of Bishop Winfield Showell, where he was baptized in Jesus name and he tarried until he received the gift of the Holy Ghost. After many trials and difficulties in life, Raymond wanted to get back to his roots of his faith in God, so on September 6, 2009 he joined the Look and Live Apostolic Faith Church, Inc. of Baltimore, Maryland. Under the leadership of Pastor Carol Ford, he regained his relationship and passion for God. He was a faithful member and worked diligently on the Board of Trustees, Usher Board, as well as sanf in the Brotherhood Choir.
He loved serving in the church until his health began to fail. Raymond was married to Barbara Roles and from this union one child was born; Pamela. He made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincerely missed by everyone that knew him. He was always a true friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his four brothers; William, Bennie, Joe, and Verbal; his three sisters, Mary B., Alice, and Mary F.
Raymond leaves to mourn, his daughter; Pamela Foster; three sisters; Ora of New York, Betty of Tennessee, Bobby of Baltimore, MD., his brother; Jimmy (Evangeline) of Dresden, TN., five grandchildren; Danielle, Antonio, Jordyn, Antwaun, and Aaron, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 in Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm with burial to follow in Sunrise Cemetery. Friends may gather at Bowlin Funeral Home around 1:00 pm, there will be no vistitation.
