Rebecca Joe Williamson

Mrs. Rebecca J. Williamson, age 82, of Dresden died Saturday morning, March 7th, 2020 at her residence.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 11th from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Bowlin Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00pm in Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Don McCulley officiating.  Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Rebecca was a member of Dresden First Baptist Church and member (and occasional teacher) of Voda Vita Sunday School class.  She loved her network of friends and was an adamant viewer of Family Feud and Price is Right.  She had a passion for working outside in her yard and is fondly remembered for keeping an immaculate home with "no shoes in the house" rule!  Rebecca was a cancer 'victor' of almost 43 years - first diagnosed when she was forty.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olin E. and Sally Thomas Wilbanks Vickers; husband, Bobbie Jean Williamson in 1990; six brothers and three sisters.  Survivors include her sons, Bob Williamson of Dresden and Brian Williamson of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Brian Williamson II of Lexington, KY and Maxie Williamson of Louisville, KY; great grandchildren, Zoey Marie Williamson of Lexington, KY and Ava Jean and Maddox Williamson both of Louisville, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
