Remington Thomas Speight

Remington Thomas Speight, 46, of Union City, TN passed away on Saturday July 12, 2025.  Remington was born in Martin, Tennessee, on the 8th of September, 1978 to Harold Thomas & Nancy Elizabeth Speight.

He was the adopted son of Dean & Kathy Austin of Martin, TN.
He is survived by his wife & soulmate, Chastity Speight; 2 daughters & 2 sons; Peyton Speight & Savannah Speight of NC, Thomas Speight of FL, & Dakota Howe of OH; his sisters, Brittany Watkins of Martin, TN and Alexia Walters of Clinton, KY, his parents, Dean & Kathy Austin of Martin, TN.; his grandfather, Ruben Hamilton of Martin, TN, & 3 nieces and 3 nephews, his devoted furbabies, and numerous family members who loved him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Thomas Speight, his mother Nancy Elizabeth Rice Waggoner, his grandparents: William Thomas & Stella Speight, Nana & Grandpa Rice (formal names unknown to family) & Minnie Hamilton.

To his wife, Remington was the brightest spark ever known.  Remington was kind hearted and protective of those he loved.  He loved to play video games & watch Gunsmoke.  He was very proud of his wife & children.  As a little boy he wanted to be a truck driver.  He fulfilled that plan as an OTR truck driver for over 20 years.  He met his wife, Chastity, during that time and she accompanied him on the road for many years before they settled down in the Union City area.  He will be greatly missed by his family & friends.
