Renee E. Martin-Janes

Renee Elizabeth Martin-Janes age 63 of Dresden passed away July 13, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.  Her wishes were to be cremated.  She was born in Chicago, IL. to the late Raymond Martin Sr. and Ruth (Latronica) Martin where she attended Oak Lawn High School.  She graduated from there in 1977.  She was a student of Baton twirling from a small child until she was 18.  She then taught Baton classes for 23 years and it took her to Spain, Hawaii and Notre Dame.  She met her soul mate Lonnie Janes and got married on May 18, 1996, they have been married for 26 years. He survives.  They have two children, Joel Martin and Kimberly Janes.  She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Dakota Janes and Marylin Dropps; her brothers, Dean and Todd Martin of Indiana; her god son Robert Schmidt; brothers-in-law, Tim (Lisa) Janes and David (Gina) Janes; sisters-in-law, Tammy (Terry) Gross and Nora (Kenneth) DeMoss,  and many nieces and nephews.  A memorial service will be held on September 17, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Obion County Public Library.
