Richard Layne Blackard

Services for Richard Layne Blackard, 69 of Dresden, were held on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at 11AM, at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery. Mr Blackard was born March 20, 1947 in Fulton, KY to the late Ethridge "Fat" and Ruby Earline Wheeler Blackard. Mr. Blackard was a truck driver, and a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife Cathy Jane Pinkston Blackard, daughters Candace Oliver Whitney, Kimberley Oliver Loehrke, and Emily Blackard, son Trent Blackard, sister Joanne Thomas and grandchildren Cameron and Fallon Baker. The family has requested that in Lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN
