Robert Eugene ""Bobby Gene"" Smith

Robert Eugene "Bobby Gene" Smith, age 76, of Sharon, TN died Monday, February 3, 2014 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Funeral services for Mr. Smith were Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Pisgah Cemetery near Dresden.

Mr. Smith was born July 30, 1937 on #8 Island near Hickman, KY to the late Nolan Eugene and Helen Elizabeth Williams Smith. He was a Custodian for W.S. Wormser, a nine year Navy Veteran, and a member of Chillicothe Baptist Church in Chillicothe, OH. He was also preceded in death by a son, Brian Keith Smith.

Bobby Gene is survived by his wife, Ruth Elinor Gire Smith of Sharon, daughters; Terry McCloud of Sharon, Bonnie Fuwell of McGee, MO, Connie (Robert) Fuwell of McGee, MO and Mandi (Jason) Warren of Bells, TN, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, brothers; Gary (Kathy) Smith of Salem, IL, James (Rose) Smith of Walnut Hill, IL and Ronnie (Patty) Smith of Centralia, IL.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Bowlin Funeral Home in his memory.
