Ron "Boom Boom" Powers

Mr. Ron "Boom Boom" Powers, 72 of Martin passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024 at his home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 2 pm at the Martin Church of Christ located at 233 Oxford Street Martin, TN  38237. There will be not any visitation or services at Bowlin Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday April 27 from 10 am until service time at 2 pm. Mr. Powers was born in Algonquin, IL on September 24, 1951 to the late Bernice and Wilma Hawkins Powers. Ron was a member of the Martin Church of Christ, and a retired arson investigator with the State of Tennessee. He is survived by his wife Janet Cheatham Powers, sons David (Jan Trowhill) Powers, Kevin (Mandy) Powers, Jesse (Angie) Powers, and step son James Henry,  step daughters Julie Arnold, and Jennifer Henry, 14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
