Rosilind Weaver, age 70, died January 22, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
Rosilind was born May 26, 1950 in Jackson, TN to the late Eddie and Ruth (Norman) Riddell. She loved all animals and was a dog groomer with Country Pet Resort, Martin, TN. Rosilind will be remembered for her cast-iron cornbread and southern cooking. She taught line-dancing and took ballroom dance lessons, was a champion horse rider (and passed this skill to her daughter, Michelle), and loved her sports cars - in her lifetime owning a yellow Camero, a Porshe and a Corvette. Rosilind never met a stranger and would strike up conversations with anyone...anywhere...anytime. She would give the shirt off her back and her kind spirit will be missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Riddell. Survivors include her previous husband and life-long friend, Dr. Rod Thomsen of Dresden; daughter, Michelle Thomsen Jarred of Dresden; grandchildren, Jenna Ruth and Landon Blaze Jarred, both of Dresden; sisters: Vicky Montoya of Jackson and Maria Jines, of Trenton; brother, Eddie Riddell of Jackson; and Boston Terrier fur baby, Scarlett.
