Rufus James Dudley, Jr., affectionately known as "Jimmy," passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, in Paris, Tennessee. Born on April 30, 1947, in Memphis, Tennessee, he lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and love for his family and community.
Jimmy was a well-respected figure in the entertainment industry as the owner of the Weakley County Amusement Company, where he collaborated closely with his partners, Jimmy and Chris Francisco. His commitment to providing enjoyable experiences for others marked his professional journey and left a lasting impression on many.
In addition to his successful career, Jimmy was proud to have served in the Navy, a testament to his dedication to his country. His adventurous spirit extended beyond his military service; he was a man who cherished the joy of life. He found great pleasure in golfing and had a particular affinity for motorcycles and cars, pursuits that further reflected his vibrant personality.
He is survived by his significant other, Gale Chilcutt, who shared in the joys and challenges of life with him. Jimmy is also survived by his loving children: son Jim (Amanda) Dudley and daughter Jennifer Dudley. He is survived by his beloved sister Brenda (Michael) Barnes. He took immense pride in being a grandfather to six grandchildren: Addison Dudley, Ava Dudley, Anna Hammonds, Jude Hammonds, Tyler Dudley, and Kacy Carrington, each of whom brought him unconditional joy and endless love.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Dudley and Ruby Frances Raines, who undoubtedly shaped the values and principles he carried throughout his life.
A visitation will be held in his honor on September 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM, both taking place at Bowlin Funeral Home located at 279 W Main St, Dresden, TN 38225.

The family would also like to invite everyone to the Paris VFW for a memorial service in Jimmy's honor on Friday, September 12, 2025, beginning at 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
