Ruth "Jerry" Jeraldine Seamans

Ruth "Jerry" Jeraldine Seamans, age 90 of Dresden, passed away December 10, 2024, at her home. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Bowlin Funeral Home beginning at 4:00pm until 7:00pm and again on Sunday, December 15, 2024, beginning at 1:00pm until service time at 2:00pm with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery. Bro. Kylan Mann will officiate the service. Ruth (Jerry) Seamans was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters, one brother, and many cousins. Jerry graduated from high school and went to live with her oldest sister in Washington, D.C., where she met her husband, Stanley Roy Seamans. They were married for 39 years until his death. They have three children, Stephany (Russell) Rainwater, Sandra Carr, and Steven (Cindy) Seamans. She was a grandmother to 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren who she loved unconditionally. She was involved in many church and community activities. Her greatest joy was serving her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a prayer warrior for family, friends and those on mission fields. She loved going to church as much as able and listening to other services on her computer. She enjoyed making jewelry until she could no longer hold the instruments and more recently making cards which she would send to family and friends for all occasions or just because. She also enjoyed many other craft making activities. She served in the Weakley County Baptist Associational Office for several years and went on many mission trips. She was also involved in FCE (Family and Community Education) and served as treasurer until unable. Those who were blessed to have known her, you know you were loved by her, and she was loved by all those who knew her. She was the most thoughtful and cheerful person even when she did not feel well. She loved all her family and friends, but mostly she loved her Savior and called herself blessed to be a child of God. In lieu flowers, the family asks donations be made to Gideon Bibles in memory of Mrs. Jerry.
