Sharon Lee Critzburg, born on July 7, 1963, in Hazel Green, Wisconsin, passed away at her home on February 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength and dedication. She graduated from Iuka High School in 1981 and proudly joined the army right out of high school, serving for six years where she attained the rank of sergeant. Sharon was immensely proud of her time in the military, demonstrating the commitment and courage that characterized her life.
After her military service, Sharon transitioned into the workforce, where she showcased her strong work ethic. She started her career at Stetson Boot Company until its closure. Subsequently, she continued her professional journey at Goodyear and later at Tyson, where she ultimately retired. Her dedication in every role she held underscored her tenacity and resilience.
Sharon was known for her spirited personality; her sisters often affectionately described her as a "very bossy lady." This characteristic was perhaps part of her charm, as well as her ability to lead and inspire those around her. She had a deep love for reading and enjoyed riding motorcycles, passions that brought joy and adventure into her life. She was also a devoted pet owner, cherishing her Yorkie, Beau, who provided her with comfort and companionship.
Sharon is survived by her step-father, Paul Nunley; brother Jason (Stephanie) Nunley; sisters Annie (Bob) Miller, Mavis (Jimmy Lee) Lowrey, and Gail (Larry Wayne) Hudson; as well as two nieces, two nephews, and two great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Hathcoat and Mary Jo Nunley; her husband, Lloyd Carroll Critzburg; and her brother, James Hathcoat.
The memory of Sharon Lee Critzburg will be honored through a visitation at Bowlin Funeral Home in Dresden, Tennessee, on February 27, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 12:00 PM. Jerry Bonds will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dresden. Her family and friends will always remember her vibrant spirit and the indelible mark she made on their lives.
