Sherry Rae Winstead

Mrs. Sherry Rae Winstead, of Dresden, died Friday evening at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.  The family will receive friends on Monday, November 2, 2020, at Bowlin Funeral Home from 4:00 - 7:00 pm and again on Tuesday from 10:00 am until service time.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm in Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Pisgah Church Cemetery.

Sherry was born on November 2, 1958 at Fort Eustis, VA to Ray and Betty (Williams) Odle.  She loved her mother's fried chicken, Florida beaches, and traveling & exploring in the RV with her husband.  Sherry was a simple person who was a friend to everyone and lived her life for others.  She was the 'unofficial' Walmart counselor for over forty-three years and loved her grandson more than anything.

In addition to her parents, Sherry is survived by her husband of over forty years, David Winstead of Dresden; daughter, Dr. Farrah (Michael) Vernon of Dresden; brothers, Barry Odle and Terry (Lisa) Odle all of Dresden; grandson, Karston Vernon of Dresden; brother in law, Tony (Inju) Winstead of Dresden; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Bessie Williams and Clara Odle; and in-laws, Edward & Pauline Winstead.
