Stella Mae Coats (Maxey)

Mrs. Stella Mae Maxey Coats, 90, of Dresden, TN died Saturday, November 29, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services were Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home with burial following in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden.

Mrs. Coats was born April 14, 1924 in Weakley County, TN to the late Cannie and Thelma Gregory Maxey. She was the widow of Fred Baxter Coats and was a self employed beautician for forty one years. She was a member of Grove HIll United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Martin Allen (Dawn) Jenkins of Dresden and stepson, John David Coats also of Dresden. Mrs. Coats is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael and Amanda Jenkins.

In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Millard and Les Maxey.
