Susan Carol Hicks

Susan Carol Hicks, age 51, of Dresden, died January 22nd, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. The family will receive friends at Bowlin Funeral Home on Sunday, January 24th from 4:00 - 7:00 pm and again on Monday, January 25th from 9:00 - 10:45 am.  Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 11:00 am with Bro Kylan Mann officiating.  Burial will follow in Eastside Cemetery, Martin, TN.

Susan was born on May 27th, 1969 in Union City, TN to Roy Lee and Barbara Jean (Woodruff) Wright.  She was a manager at KN Root Beer Drive-In, Martin, where she worked many years for the family business.  She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Martin.  Susan was known for being "crafty" and liked to make jewelry in her spare time.  Susan graduated from UT-Martin in 1992 and belonged to Alpha Delta Pi sorority.  She will be remembered for her infectious smile and missed by all who were privileged to know her.

Susan was preceded in death by her father, Roy L. Wright.  Survivors include her husband, Paul Hicks of Dresden; daughter, Anna Brooke Hicks of Dresden; mother, Barbara Jean Wright of Martin; sister, Sandra (Keith) Clayton of Martin; brother, Jeff (Rhonda) Wright of Dyersburg; sister-in-law, Angie (Thomas) Young, Greenbrier, TN; nieces: Allison (Cory) Beddingfield of Martin, Erica (Jay) Wainscott of Martin, Kayla (Will) Click of Dyersburg, Hannah Beth Wright of Dyersburg and Melessia (Chris) Seiber of Bon Aqua, TN; nephews, Matthew and Luke Young both of Greenbrier; and three great nephews: Nathaniel Beddingfield of Martin, Lew Wainscott of Martin, and Eli Seiber of Bon Aqua.
