Talma Jean Burgess

Mrs. Talma Jean Burgess age 76, of Dresden died Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Weakley Co. Rehab & Nursing Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Burgess were Monday, December 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Sunset Cemetery. Dr. Don McCulley officiated the service. Pallbearers were Rory Baker, Ryan Adams, Austin Powell, Adam Vaughan, Tim Harris, and Horace Roberts.

Mrs. Burgess was born June 16, 1939 in Weakley County, TN to the late Dodds and Bonnell Carlton Brewer. She was a secretary for Pamela Jones for many years until she retired and was a member of Dresden First Baptist Church. She was also preceded by one sister, Mary Beth Brewer.

Mrs. Burgess was the wife of Jim Burgess, the mother of Kerry (Renza) Adams, and Kimberly (Billy) Powell all of Dresden, TN. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
