Thomas "Tom" Sidney Johnson

Thomas "Tom Sidney" Johnson was born November 2, 1936 to the late Weldon and Carrie Seay Johnson.  Tom Sidney departed this life on August 5, 2020 at his home in Dresden, TN.  Tom Sidney was a devoted husband for over 64 years.  He married Ethel Johnson on December 10, 1956.  Tom Sidney was well-known to the community and he was an avid fisherman.  Tom Sidney loved his family and his dog.  He worked at Dico for 10 years, and a farmhand in Weakley County until he retired.  Tom Sidney was preceded in death by his father and mother, 2 brothers; Lonnie and Sam Johnson and a son, Thomas Johnson Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, Wife: Ethel Johnson, Children: Joe David Johnson of Martin, TN,  John Johnson of Paducah, KY., Carrie (Jackie) Sowell of Milan, TN., Shirlene Johnson of Union City, TN., Joyce McKinley of Paducah, KY., Mae Tansil of Martin, TN, Betty Mora of  Martin, TN., Linda (Duke) Sexton of Martin, TN., Theresa Warford of Martin, TN., 17 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.  He leaves a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. Services will be Saturday at 2 pm at Bowlin Funeral Home, burial will follow in Parham Cemetery in Martin.
