Van O'Brian Butts

Van O'Brian Butts, age 64 of Dresden, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Bowlin Funeral Home beginning at 4:00pm until 7:00pm and again on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Bowlin Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am until service time at 1:00pm with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery. Van was born on February 23, 1960 in Lansing, MI. to the late Billy Ray Butts and Wanda Faye Pinkston. He is survived by his son Derek Butts; daughter Miranda (Shannon) Irvine; grandchildren Bryce Alley, Bria Irvine, Brenden Butts, Ethan Butts, Ava Butts, Shamyai Irvine, and Jeremiah Irvine; and great grandchild Lyla Holland. Besides his parents,  he was preceded in death by his wife Jennifer Butts, brother Don Ray Butts, and sister Jennie Lynn Washburn.
