Vernon Matlock

Vernon Matlock age 83 of Dresden passed away on December 11, 2022 at Hillview Community Living Center.  Visitation will be Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Bowlin Funeral Home from 10:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.  Vernon Matlock was born on January 10, 1939 to the late Issac Matlock and Java Wyota Ward in Detroit, Michigan.  He was a United States Army Veteran, and he retired from being a photographer from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He was co-owner of Matlock Studio located in Dresden.  He leaves behind his wife Nancy Matlock, his sons, David (Tammy) Matlock of Bartlett, Tennessee and Tim (Renae) Matlock of Martin, Tennessee, his grandchildren; Trista, Kyle (Nicki), Lydia, Makenna, Dillon (Carianna), Logan (Amber) Matlock, his great-grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Steely, and Silas Matlock.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Matlock, and his sister, Shirley Provencher.
