Mrs. Viola "Vi" James Smith, age 82, of Palmersville, TN, died Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Regional Hospital in Jackson, TN. Funeral services for Mrs. Smith were conducted Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Union Chapel Church of Christ near Palmersville, TN with burial following in Morgan Cemetery Palmersville, TN. Mrs. Smith was born on April 22, 1929 in Obion County, TN to the late Joe and Myrtie James. She was a member of Union Chapel Church of Christ. She is survived by one son, David (Ann) Smith of Palmersville, TN; two daughters, Linda (Joe) Donoho of Springfield, TN and Bethany Smith of Martin, TN; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Smith and her parents, Joe and Myrtie Hopper James.
