Violet Ann Smith (Martin)

Violet Ann Smith, 76, of Dresden, TN, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her home in Dresden. Funeral services were Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden with burial following in Sunset Cemetery. Dr. Don McCulley officiated the services.

Mrs. Smith was born June 1, 1938 in Dresden, TN to the late James and Martha Webb Martin. She was a proofreader for William Byrd Press Publishing Company in Richmond, VA for more than 30 years and a member of Dresden First Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Guy LeRoy "Delo" Smith.

She is survived by her daughters, Delores (Kerry) McDaniel of Dresden and Leigh Anne (Philip) Corwin of Richmond, VA sons, Steve (Charlotte) Smith of Christiansburg, VA, and Jamie Don (Beth) Smith of Chester, VA, brother, Tommy (Ann) Martin of Paris, TN and sister, Donna (Gene) Lewter of Richmond, VA along with six grandchildren, two step grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
