Violet Louise Harris Thompson, age 79 of Paris, TN, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026, at her home with her family by her side. Graveside services will be held at Paradise Hill Family Cemetery Monday, June 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Violet was born September 11, 1946, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Arthur Leon Harris and Margie Marie Tipps Harris. She is survived by her daughter Tina Marie Medley of Paris, TN; son Jeffrey Thomas (Dawn) Lewis of Tecumseh, KS; 7 grandchildren Tony (Tabitha) Lewis, Ashley (Matt) Smith, Emily (Vincent) Lopez, Dakota Smith, Christian Lewis, Jake Smith, and Amanda Siglow; 3 great grandchildren Malcom (Mac) Smith, Gabriel Lopez, and Daniel Lopez; and brothers Jessie (Teresa) Harris and Bobby Harris. Violet is preceded in death by her son Jonathan Smith, granddaughter Cheyenne Smith and sister Ruby Dudley. Violet was retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.
