Virginia Lee Elliott

Virginia Lee Elliott, born on October 7, 1936, in Dresden, Tennessee, peacefully passed away on December 3, 2025, at AHC Van Ayer in Martin, Tennessee, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a cherished member of her community and family, known for her kindness and devotion to those she held dear. She served as the Dresden city recorder from January 1982 until July 2001.

Virginia, who was affectionately known by her maiden name, Klutts, carried a legacy of love and resilience throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hillard Elliott, and her parents, Jessie B. Klutts and Mary Allen. Virginia was also preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Klutts and Jack Klutts, and her grandchild, Justin Woodruff.

Virginia is survived by her son, Richard Elliott, and her daughter, Connie (David Keith) Harris. She was a proud grandmother to Brent Woodruff and a loving great-grandmother to Ashley Taylor, Kameron Woodruff, and Payton Woodruff. Virginia also embraced her role as a great-great-grandmother to Sylas Woodruff.

Her funeral service will be held on December 6, 2025, at Bowlin Funeral Home in Dresden, Tennessee. The visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Following the service, Virginia will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dresden, Tennessee, where her memory will be cherished.

Virginia Lee Elliott leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through her family and friends. She will be remembered fondly for the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. Her spirit will continue to guide her loved ones as they carry forward her lessons of compassion and dedication.
