Walter Bruce "Sam" Baker

Mr. Walter Bruce "Sam" Baker, 82 of Gleason, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at his home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Bowlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bradberry Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Mr. Baker was born August 23, 1938 in Gleason to the late Elmer Walter Baker and Lillie May Bradberry Baker. He was retired from World Color in Dresden, and was a member of Hodges Chapel Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Wanda Sue Watson Baker, daughters Romona McDaniel, Carolyn Baker Barnes, and Rhonda Dean, one son Mike Smith,  grandchildren Matt Barnes, William Cleek, Jeremiah Dean and Derrick Smith, ,great grandchildren Kailey Cleek, and Shyanne Cleek. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Gene, Louis, Paul, and Larry Baker, sisters Betty Miller, Martha Baker, and Mary Ruth Baker, and one grandchild James Cleek.
