William Hoyt Dilday, 79 of Dresden, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 11 am at Bowlin Funeral Home with Albert Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at Bowlin Funeral Home from 4 pm until 7 pm, and again on Saturday from 10 am until service time at 11 am. Mr. Dilday was born February 18, 1942, in Martin, Tn to the late Fred and Vertie Estelle Doster Dilday. He was a truck driver and a member of Davis Memorial Church in Dresden. He is survived by a daughter April (Michael) Simmons of Murray, Ky, brother Dewey (Amy) Dilday of Dresden, sisters Sue (Jimmy) Dilday of Dresden, and Doris Conder of Paris, 5 grandchildren, and 6 grteat grandchildren, and a special buddy Tippy the Cockateal.
