William Emmons "Bill" Hardy

William Emmons "Bill" Hardy, 83, of Dresden, died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Tennova Healthcare Regional Hospital of Jackson, TN. A Memorial service was held Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Don McCulley officiated the service.

Mr. Bill was born in Sanford, FL to the late James Thomas and Camilla Starr Hardy. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of Dresden First Baptist Church where he was a member of the Timothy Sunday School Class. He was a retired senior operator of an offshore oil platform for UnoCal Oil Company.

Mr. Bill is survived by a son, William Dale Hardy of Reedley, CA; daughters Linda Frances Peters and Janice Anne (Jeffrey) Freeman of Elizabeth City, NC; and grandchildren, Wesley James Hardy of Reedley, CA, Michelle SuAnne (Sam) Branham and Daleana LeAnne (Brian) Olwage of Maryland, Anica Lorraine (Taylor) Westfall of Irvine, CA, Leah Marie (Aaron) Grosjean of Elizabeth City, NC, Joanne Najera of Pixley, CA, Carla Mae Dickinson of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Christopher Ryan Peters of Hertford, NC, Courtney Marie Hardy-Seabury of Goldsboro, NC, Paul Daniel Hardy of Elizabeth City, NC, and Joseph Wesley Seabury of Tyner, NC; and 11 great grandchildren.
