William Richard Townsen

Services for William Richard Townsen, 84 of Dresden, were held Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at 1PM, in Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in New Hope Church Cemetery. Mr. Townsen was born March 14, 1932 in San Antonio, TX, to the late Luther and Fern Shurtleff Townsen. He is survived by his wife Marcella Marcum Townsen, sons, Steve (Jennifer) Mullins of Yuma, TN, Fayette (Brenda) Mullins of Martin, TN, Steve, Wesley, and Timothy Gage all of Lubbock, TX, daughters, Tammy (Chuck) Brundige of Dresden, TN, Kathy (Robert) McDermott of Wisconsin, and daughter in law Beverly Mullins of Camden, TN, 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Ralph Mullins. Mr. Townsen was a farm Machinery mechanic, and a US Army Korean War Veteran.
